The story of my life

 My depressed day.
Back to Full Blog

I feel so sad today and i just dont know why, im thinking about everything and everyone and doing the whole crying thing.

Ive been thinking alot about my baby's father, i just cant understand why it is taking him so long to sort out his life or what ever he is doing. It just feels like he doesnt want to see his child.

What i really dont get is how a parent can just go away from his child for months to sort his life out, how do men think? (do they think???)

Dylan is growing up and he doesnt know his father, because his father ran away after a fight with his mother to sort his life out. Does anyone understand what is going on in this man's head???

Look inside yourself to find happiness. He sounds selfish and immature, and perhaps not worthy of your love. It is sad but often true that some parents walk away from their responsibilities, but Dylan has you, you can be everything he needs. If he needs a male father figure, find one, your brother, your dad, a friend, and keep the joy! Dry those tears and concentrate on the positives. Hugs to you today.

There are times when it is not a good idea to comment about selfish young fathers. This selfish father made a mistake when he was 16, he is a 17 year old boy who is very confused about his life & what exactly his role is in his sons life as his son has a very strong father figure in his life namely his mothers boyfriend. He is still in high schooland currently writing his final exams for the year. As you might know boys take a lot longer than girls to mature. not to mention the fact that becoming a mom makes us girls grow up at one hell of a rate. So please do not judge my son for the mistakes he has made, but rather hope & pray that he will find his way back home to his family & son. If you want to judge some one judge me for driving him away in the first place. As is all problems in life there are 2 sides of every coin. I love my grandson & I know his dad loves him 2, he is a scared young man who is over whelmed with life, he needs guidence not judgement.

I do apologize Tina, for sounding judgmental, as I had no idea we were talking about a juvenile here. I do have a son, so I do know how you feel, and two daughters, one of which is married and the other still a teenager. So you are this baby's grandparents? none of my business, really, just trying to figure out who is who here.

Blessings to you. I've been their my ex didn't have much to do with our second child the first year after she was born. He barely saw her. I never understood his attitude either.

I also would like to say that I too was a single mother at 17, almost 18, so I can sympathize with how Roxy feels. I think it is great that your son is still is school and trying to get his life in order, however the fact remains that he is a father, and together they are both responsible for this child.

I do hope that any issues regarding your son and grandson, and this whole situation do turn out favorable for all concerned.

Hi Bella, yes I am the Grandmother on the fathers side. Sorry if I sounded harsh but when it comes to my kids & grandbaby I am mother lion. Roxy is a very specail girl who has come a very long way from being that scared little teenager who lived with me for awhile. I am proud of what she has achieved.

Im feeling uncomfortable with this whole situation. Bella u just tried to give me advice, thanxs for that! Tina i think that were are unreasonable as Bella just tried to help me and give me advice. Even though vj is ur son, everyone cant always be on his side, and it is true that he is selfish and immature, he didnt think about anyone else including his son when he decided to run away. He thought about himself only.

Ohh, it seems that it's all so big - overwhelming perhaps? Roxy, keep up the great work with your son. I hope things work out soon. Keep your chin up and hug your son much.

Tina, i hope it works out for all of you.

Be well...

Roxy, hang in there, dear, your son needs his mother more than ever when the father's not around. My husband was away in the Navy when I had my first little one and it is hard to be alone in caring for a child! Take care, Hugs, Rita
